super sunday!

It's sunday and it's a super sunday. Finally I cleared 90% of the rubbish stuff in my house. I have to give thanks to my good buddy, Mr Teo. Well as least he did not abandon me but he helped me to deliver the rubbish stuff to salvation army. Ok, I guess the salvation army will be swearing at me now. But I am one of the inconsiderate helpful donors. It's also amazing to see the amount of fellow citizens stepping forward, despite all the trouble, to throw their rubbish donate their stuff at the designated salvation army booths. Really wonder how many pple will be needed to sort out the stuff.

After depositing the stuff, Calvin, Joanna and me went to have TIM SUM along Thomson Rd (should be lar). We had so much food that all of us are so full till we had trouble walking. Then we went to Sembawang Hills there to buy loti. Only Joanna bought a loti. I was too full to think of food then... (and I am still full now, after 5 hours)

After that we didn't really know where to go. While we are driving, I suggested to go to Lor Halus. Yeah, we found new grounds over there. I was so delighted because I finally found a kampong place. The air there smell so fresh and the feeling was so shiok. Then we went to look at the various aquariums and animal farms there. It's a total new place with new stuff for me. Cool. However we can't stay there for long as night falls soon.

We went to Hougang to have a drink. Yet again, we choose a TIMSUM place. God, two tim sum places in one day. Luckily they had some light dishes while I just enjoy my drink. So we went for a little shopping at cold storage. Thats a big mistake. Because around the same time, the fu***** dutiful parking attendant issue a fine to Calvin's car. He has been parking without putting coupons. But today's sunday, isn't it free parking? Oh no no no, the garment has changed updated the rules of the game. Sunday or not, it's the same!!! Just pay. And also I noticed that laterly after the May DAY event, I seems to see parking attending everywhere in Singapore. Is it pay backtime? Time to take back the chicken drumstick and also take a chicken back? Since Calvin is not working and thank god for his help today, Joanna and me decided to share the cost of the $30 fine. Fine fine fine. It's a fine place afterall.

Please check if there's really free parking on Sunday. Don't assume!

Getting fat? Must watch Dragon Tiger Gate to inspire myself!

Oh in my life this is one of the few occassion that someone says I'm getting fat..... Ahhhhhh.... Deep impact man.... It was only yesterday I realised that I am fatter. Now, someone (Nicholas) verified it. Oh god. I looked skinny and now getting rounder. Is it that I am trying hard to be an all rounder? Eh don say I am not fat. You will only feel like this because u never feel my stomach before. Round as a ball.

The logic of getting fat is simple. First, find a job that allows you to have tea break. Next, eat curry puffs and fried bee hoon at every tea break. Then, do not exercise. Woala, you get fat.
And also make sure your job is a desk bound boring job. With all the factors, you will be on your way to grow wider.

So this means it's time to exercise and buck up. Still need to clear IPPT leh, chia lat. Didn't exercise for 10+ days like that liao. Come to think of it, I really missed the blading times, the swimming times, the badminton times. Seems like lacking of sports kaki. But who the hell want to do sports with me? Arghh.. Must inspire myself to exercise more. The dragon tiger gate movie did gave me some inspiration to keep fit. Watching Donnie Yen and his martial arts display is certainly an enjoyment. Perfect rating for this movie.

Save the world

The place that I stayed for the past 20+ years is under going an interim upgrading. By saying this I mean my flat is under going some re-org.

I have been busy for the past 2 days to handle all the re-org works. If you are thinking this is easy, you can imagine the following scenerios: clearing two rooms full of stuff that has been accumulated since 22 years ago. How about seeing dust that looks like grey cotton wood? A lizard that is darker than dark chocolate? A personal museum that can be dated to 10+ years before I was born?

I must really hand it to my family members. Perhaps I should try to apply for a world gusiness record for the best utilized 2 room space. My flat now looks like a garang guni place and there are plenty more things to be settle. It's also amazing how I managed to get a seat infront of this computer to type this blog. Tomolo is working day again. Luckily I ironed my clothes (in half an hour) and now it's time for rest.

Advice to all: Don't move house un-necessary. What ever u think u wont use for the next year, u probably wont use it for this life. So please be kind to earth, don buy so much thing so that you dont waste so much.

An ad hoc night back at school

Yeah, today did something ad hoc again. Some one initiated to go back to sch again, a tonight is a SP nite. Well, some of the old pple did go back. For example me, nicholas, jingwen, kelvin and so on.... It was a night of hunger and chatting. Most of us haven't met for quite some time, err that was like abt 6mths or more? So there were plenty to chat.

It always feeling good to go back to camp. A sense of belonging, but a reminder that we are old. I bet this is the last time that we go back liao. Because no one will remember us. We are like those forgotten people of the past. Well, time flies. Some things do change, so do not. So Alan is as chee hong as ever, Qiu Hao is as charasmatic and so on. There isn't any explanation for everything, but things are like that.

Event of the night is usual, SP nite - > dance. The DJ was initially so chia lat, playing those pon chek songs.. hear liao also no mood to dance one. Later as we are moving out to market for Nasi Lemak then the songs got better. Alamak. Wrong time.

Nic is driving his precious new car. 2 days old Bios. Well, he only take on gals passengers. Haha. And also the chee hong Alan who always stick to gals lar. We ate Nasi Lemak and also have a good chat. As it was almost 1am, most of us go back. Except Jingwen and Alan and some others went back to sch. I was with Kelvin, we sent Jenn back and ..... Kelvin let me drive his van. I drove home from Jurong leh. Still go on expressway. Hehe... Long time no drive liao. Rusty liao. But heng ah, got experience driver around. Got twice when I tried to change from 5th to 4th gear, I gong gong changed to 2nd gear. Also got once, the slope a bit steep, I need Kelvin's help to change gear. It was like I'm pressing the clutch, he's changing the gear for me.Eh, need some co-ordination and physic link to do this ok. Not easy leh. Heh heh.

Although the journey is dangerous, it's exciting as well. I am proud to say I can drive from Jurong to home. Hahaha. This is the pic of the van that I drove. Seh right. Did I say I drive car?? Oops.

Have you ever driven a car or bike till the tachometer reaches the redline. But you still keep on stepping on the gas? So times life is riding a bike. You need to know when to stop and when to accelerate. So I guess I am heading for a pit stop now. Cool down the engine, do some tuning.

blading at night?

Just returned from a skating trip at East Coast. Although haven't blade for a long time, but still managed to pick up from where I left off quite fast. Hehe. There are quite an amount of pple at east coast still. The only good thing is there are no pesty kids doing illegal U-turn or going against traffic flow. I did try to sprint and catch up with a group of cyclist. Whoa, that was real fun and fast too. But don't think I can maintain their speed for long. Perhaps I need to go to east coast more often with friends who cycle fast. Anyone interested?

bears on top of one another.

Well I do have quite an amount of soft toys. So do my siblings. Today my dad did his usual hobby. That is to arrange the bears on top of one another. Duno how come he like to arrange them like a circus.

Actually I want my dad to sleep at my bed, but ended up he arranged all the soft toys instead.



Yeah, that is only part of my family's collection of soft toy. How many more can we have? Plenty more. Oh, so let not get diverted away from my dad. Duno why lately his health is not really good. Leg ache, back ache, slight bladder incontingence. Had appointment with 2 specialist. Hope they can help. Perhaps he worked too hard for his kids. He worked in warehouses for nearly 30 years or more. But I am really proud of him. Through his hard work, he managed to exchange his health for some money to send his kids to sch. Now I can say that my siblings and I are doing fine. We have our proper education, we are well fed and taken care of. So now I pray hard and take him to see the specialists when ever time permits. It's time to take care of him like he did to us when young.

We must always treasure our love ones and remember to think where water come from when we drink water.

financial planner?

Don't know why, suddenly hate financial planner this term. Well, gotta be some physco effect. Actually the feeling pop out when the polar mention abt some one we know. Yeah thats right, it triggered me off...

Really don like the feeling of someone meeting you because of a motive. Well, cut the crap abt the win-win situation. I mean don say meet friends because long time no meet, then come and crap with me this and that. Of course I do know that everyone needs some insurance or some financial things like that. But whats the purpose of the meeting? Social meeting or business meeting? When it's a biz meeting, can they don say: "hey, long time no meet, care to meet?" sometimes really like duh... next when it comes to the point they say: " everyone needs coverage. what if you, touch wood, one day says byebye to your love ones. do you want to leave them something?" So when do they become so concern with my love ones? Did they visit my parents and say hello auntie, uncle how r you before? Did they do what they should before becoming a financial planner? Oh piece of shit defecate.

Well thats all for today. Perhaps I am being rude, but it's one of those days that you need a pad.

pasar malam

yeah, tonight I am so bored that I went to the pasar malam. Dunno why, the pasar malam seems to differ quite a lot from my childhood days. No more pirated cheaper CDs, lesser games, no one sell tilam. Maybe the quality of pasar malam has gone down?
Well, I did saw something interesting. But seems like everyone never realise it's there. Come guess what is it? Zhao keng? Shit on the floor? Money on the floor? No no no. Wrong. It's VCDs. Hehe. Not pirated one of course. Original leh. But whats so special abt the VCDs? Well, they are educational VCDs. Duh.... yah yah yah, you have seen them before. I know i know, but u got see VCDs on "3 letter sutra" aka "san zi jing", "300 tang's dynasty poems", "chinese idoms". Personally I feel that kids nowadays like Barney, Thomas the train etc etc more. So who the hell is going to buy those VCDs? I am very tempted to buy them, but today no mood. Perhaps tomolo got mood ba. But why I need them? Because I don't know the "3 letter sutra", don't know the poems. Idoms I do know, but origins... err... Also, mind you, the "3 letter sutra" is not the ~!@, $%^,nnb, ccb, knn, hkl, pbk. Opps, duno how come suddenly type so smoothly.
So now the issue is that the turtle is laughing at the tortise. I don't even know all the chinese culture things, so how can I expect those kids to know them well too. Sometimes this is the problem with parents. They send their kids to piano class lar, dancing class lar, mathematics class lar et cetera (this word chim right. Actually, Et cetera = etc. ) Perhaps, the parents don't have the chance to learn these when they are young. So they put their hopes on their child and this will be endless cycle. Cause you can't have the best of both worlds.
Well, perhaps this is human nature. Kiasu (afraid to lose), kiasi(afraid to die) is part of us. But if human not kiasu or kiasi, then we might not evolve and become better? Are we becoming better? Food for thought leh.
